Welcome to our website, we're delighted you've found us!
We believe that The Play Shelter can provide for all of your childcare needs.
We are so glad that we were able to provide a much needed holiday play scheme for both children and parents during the Easter holidays.
It has been a truly difficult time and we know how much this service is needed for children and parents alike.
This Easter we provided a small scale holiday play sheme and kept the children within 'Bubble groups' in line with Government recommended group sizes.
Our calm and comfortable environment enabled children to enjoy taking part in our onsite Art, Sports and Performing Arts activities.
Our activities do not only act as a welcome distraction and respite from the global situation, but are the strategies we use to enhance the personal, social and emotional development in children.
Thank you for your trust and support and we hope to see you back in the Summer!!
The Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic has created a difficult and unprecedented state of global and local affairs.
The Play Shelter team hope that all of our parents and children are keeping safe and well during this difficult time.
The Play Shelter @ Malorees provided a limited Easter Holiday Scheme for vulnerable children and parents who are keyworkers.
As much fun as this field of work is, it does have it's challenges..... Implementing an activity based program whilst Social Distancing is now added to the challenges!!
Despite the low number of children and difficulties we needed to overcome, the children and staff still had a good time and created some amazing art work.
We look forward to welcoming the rest of you back to our holiday play schemes, as soon as it is safe to do so.
See you all on the other side and hope you continue to keep safe and well.
This Half Term we welcomed a number of new children to our Holiday Play Schemes and received positive feedback on both the children's and parent's evaluation forms.
Children took part in a variety of Arts and Crafts, Sports and Cookery activities, whilst our offsite trips and outings enabled children to develop physical skills in trampolining, rock climbing and on huge play structures.
The October half term holiday play scheme was a delight! Again, so many new children to welcome and lots of children returning from their first visit in the summer - we're glad you all enjoyed yourselves so much.
Our programme of activities incorporated a range of new arts and crafts and as usual, children took home an abundance of craft projects they had made - much to the delight of all parents!
Our next holiday play scheme is in February 2020 and before you know it, that time will be here, but in the meantime, have a great Christmas holiday and we look forward to seeing you next year!
The Summer came and went so quickly, as soon as the fun started it seemed like it was at its end!
Although what a great few weeks we had!
It was great to welcome so many new children to The Play Shelter family and as usual the vast array or trips and outings were as popular as ever.
Thank you to all of the children and staff for making the holiday play scheme a fun filled time. It was also a sad time to see so many of our older children leave us, many of whom had been coming to our holiday play schemes for the past 7 years!!
We wish you all the best for the future and be sure to pop in and say hello.
Our next holiday play scheme is in October so we look forward to seeing you all then.
